Forresters Inn is seen on the 1876 map and is not listed in the directories until 1895. Is listed at 78 Sidwell Street.
The Red Cow is listed by Pigot (1823), Besley (1828) and Trewman (1816) as being somewhere in Sidwell Street. J. Smale was resident on all occasions. It is mentioned by Pring relating to a 40 year lease from 31st Dec 1816. The landlord was fined for allowing cards and gambling at this inn on 28th November 1822 according to the EFP.
