The Victoria Inn is first listed in 1878 by white and was obviously named
after Queen Victoria. It is the only pub in Exeter that retains the original tiled exterior
so admired by the Victorians. Not too sure whether I like it but it certainly should be kept for
posterity. The building dates from the 1860's.
The pub was the subject of a "for sale" notice in the Exeter Flying Post 19th March 1873. Stuart Callon Copyright ©2006 |
