This site was designed with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and is therefore best viewed using these settings. Your page should have 3 frames, two outer menus and a central page. If it does not, Click Here.
Because this site uses frames, cascading style sheets and small bits of javascript, Version 4+ browsers are recommended for best performance.
Many of Exeter's pubs were strategically placed both by our fore-fathers and the modern planners in order to show off the City's immense history. By following the pub crawls on the left, this long history can be discovered. On the right are further links to pubs that no longer exist or exist in buildings that were formerley used for other purposes.

If you borrow information for your newspaper, book or website as I've noticed an increasing number are, please quote this site as a source. The name of this site is "Exeter Through The Bottom of Your Beer Glass".
